Constable Kanakam OTT release date: When, where to stream Varsha Bollama's cop drama

ETV Win's latest original show, Constable Kanakam, is all set for its digital debut. We at OTT Play were the first ones to reveal that their new web series, titled Constable Kanakam, had kicked off its shoot. Featuring Varsha Bollamma as the female lead, the show is a cop drama made on a realistic note.

The latest update is that the shooting of the show has been wrapped up, and Constable Kanakam will be available for streaming from August 14, 2025. You can also stream the show on OTT Play Premium. Interestingly, Constable Kanakam was initially planned as a film, but the makers later decided to release it as a web series.

Directed by Prashant Kumar Dimmala, the show has music by Suresh Bobbili, while Sriram has cranked the camera. The story follows a small-town female cop who takes on a complex case and solves it on her own. Kovelamudi Satya and Veturi Hemanth are co-producing the series on a very low budget, but did not compromise on the visuals.

Constable Kanakam lands in controversy

Constable Kanakam made headlines when its shoot got delayed, and another series on a similar subject, titled Viraatapalem PC Meena Reporting, was released on ZEE5. That series failed to impress the audience and ended as a big flop on OTT. With not many knowing that both these series are made on the same subject, this will help Constable Kanakam for sure.

Originally, Constable Kanakam was the first project to take up this subject, but due to story leaks and the other series being rushed to release, the makers held off on their launch plans. Now, with everything sorted, they have confirmed that the show will officially stream on ETV Win. Varsha Bollama has pinned a lot of hopes on this series as she has a solid role.
