Coolie BTS video breaks the Internet: Rajinikanth’s role decoded? Netizens say ‘YRF, you better postpone War 2’

While social media is filled with promotions of Thug Life, the makers of Coolie had dropped a new BTS video featuring Rajinikanth and crew, which has set social media on fire. The video which shows Rajinikanth onscreen Coolie, and the behind-the-scenes. Right from a shot that shows him as a butcher, to the visuals of the cast, the video has become the talk of the town.

Coolie: Makers release new BTS video ft Rajinikanth

Even as we are months away from the release of Coolie, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to maintain the hype for the film. On Friday, a BTS video was released by Sun Pictures which is bankrolling Coolie. Under 40 seconds, the video had Rajinikanth on the sets of Coolie, as he is seen working on the film and interacting with director Lokesh Kanagaraj and cast, crew of Coolie.

Netizens have been reacting to the video, drawing conclusions of their own. While one reminded that it is better for the makers of War 2 (which is also releasing on August 14) to rethink their release plans, others have been pointing out that the Petta actor might be playing a butcher in the film. Coolie release date

Coolie is set to grace big screens on August 14. Directed by Vikram filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie stars Nagarjuna, Upendra, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir and others in important roles. It is expected that Aamir Khan is also part of the project. But the PK actor’s involvement has not yet been officially announced. Coolie has music by Anirudh Ravichander and backed by Sun Pictures. The Enthiran actor will be seen as an aged gangster in the film which is touted to be an action thriller.

Meanwhile, after Coolie, Rajinikanth will collaborate with Nelson Dilipkumar for Jailer 2.
