Coolie ticket booking begins: The pre-sales overseas for the Rajinikanth-Lokesh Kanagaraj film is going strong, with Indian sales expected to begin on high note from Friday

The advance bookings for Coolie, the upcoming Tamil action thriller starring actor Rajinikanth in the lead role, has begun in India at various parts. As of now, early morning shows are set to take place outside Tamil Nadu, with the state to see shows to begin only at 9 am.

At this moment, Coolie is one of the most expected Tamil films this year. The Rajinikanth-starrer is helmed by filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj and features a star ensemble. Set to release on August 14 in theatres, the overseas bookings are going strong, with pre-sales in India just beginning.
Coolie is expected to have shows in India as early as 6 am in states like Karnataka and Kerala. In Tamil Nadu, the show will begin at 9 am, while the Telugu-speaking states will start around 6/8 am. Nevertheless, the expectations on the film are sky-high.
Coolie also has been showing upward trend in advance bookings across globe, with overseas to have premieres on August 13. With Tamil diaspora spread across countries like US, UK, Canada and Australia, along with Middle Eastern and other Asian countries, Coolie has been making the most with its advance sales of tickets. Full-fledged openings are expected to begin later from August 8.
Coolie certified A
While booking your tickets, make sure to remember that Coolie has been certified A in India. This means the film is suitable to watch by adults above 18 years only. This marks the first time in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s career, and also means that one can expect a lot of violence from the action thriller.
Featuring Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Upendra, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan and others, Coolie has music by Anirudh Ravichander. Produced on a massive scale by Sun Pictures, all hopes are on Coolie to achieve the 1000-crore-mark at the box office and to be the first Tamil film to achieve the record.
