Coolie update: T Rajendhar and Anirudh shoot for promo for Chikitu Vibe single from Rajinikanth-Lokesh Kanagaraj film

Coolie, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor Rajinikanth in the lead role, is gearing up for release in a couple of months. Scheduled to release on August 14, following the Jailer format of Independence Day weekend release, Coolie is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. As per new reports, the first single, Chikitu Vibe, is being made with a promo video shot. Veteran filmmaker and actor T Rajendhar will be appearing in the promo.

Only a couple of months are left for Coolie release, one of the most expected films this year in Tamil cinema. It marks the first collaboration of Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj. As per fresh media reports, the makers are gearing up to release the promo of the first single Chikitu Vibe. A glimpse was already shared by the makers. It looks like Anirudh Ravichander and T Rajendhar have shot for the promo. The makers are yet to officially announce the release of the first single.

Coolie is an action thriller. While the plot of the film has not yet been revealed, Lokesh has confirmed that the film will not belong to the LCU universe. The makers have released a title glimpse before, which shows Rajinikanth playing an aged gangster with gold smuggling as a major theme.

Coolie is an action thriller directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Sun Pictures. Starring Rajinikanth in the lead alongside Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, and others, it marks Rajinikanth’s 171st film. With music by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Girish Gangadharan, the film is already creating enough buzz, thanks to Lokesh’s previous hits like Vikram and Kaithi.

Meanwhile, it was recently confirmed that Lokesh will next work with Aamir Khan for a superhero film. It is touted that the film will be Irumbu Kai Mayavi, which was initially pitched for Suriya.
