Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is considered among the finest actors in Bollywood, has exposed the dark reality of the industry and its clear, distinct division. During his recent interview for Costao (soon to be out on Zee5 via OTTplay Premium), Nawazuddin shared how Bollywood is divided and has a completely different culture as compared to Hollywood or any other industry for that matter. Nawazuddin Siddiqui calls out the clear division in Bollywood

Nawazuddin spilled to Mid-Day that while Hollywood casts actors based on their acting skills, things work a lot differently in India, especially in Bollywood. "Here, we have categories like actor, hero, star, superstar," the Costao actor shared. He also spoke about how an actor is acknowledged for his acting skills but is not considered as 'bankable' as the latter categories. Citing the examples of Irrfan Khan, Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai actor Manoj Bajpayee and Naseeruddin Shah, Nawazuddin pointed out how none of the actors got the opportunity to work in a movie beyond Rs. 30 crore budget.

In his own way, Nawazuddin shunned nepotism and the culture of star kids taking over the screens. "But those whom you are trusting, what are they doing? We are seeing what’s happening to the films that are coming nowadays with new actors," the actor said, taking a direct dig at the fate of movies like Junaid Khan-Khushi Kapoor's Loveyapa and Khushi-Ibrahim Ali Khan's Nadaaniyan.
