It's a terrific day for Indian cinema as "RRR," the filmmaker SS Rajamouli's magnum opus period action drama film, has won two additional accolades at the 28th edition of the Critics' Choice Awards in addition to the famous Golden Globe honour. The Critics' Choice Award for Best Song went to "RRR," starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, for the song "Naatu Naatu." In a ceremony held in Los Angeles, it also won the "Critics' Choice" award for the best foreign language picture.

Naatu Naatu by Keeravani also just won the Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA) award for outstanding music.

The update was posted on RRR's official Instagram page. On RRR's Instagram account, a post stated, "Congratulations to our Music Director #MMKeeravaani on winning the Award for BEST MUSIC/SCORE for #RRRMovie at @lafilmcritics."

The story RRR is based on the lives of two Telugu freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. The lead roles were played by Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, respectively. The film grossed over Rs 1,200 crore worldwide. The movie also featured Shriya Saran, Alia Bhatt, and Ajay Devgn.
