Cruella is finally streaming on Disney+ Hotstar and the wait is nearing its end. The live-action adaptation stars Emma Stone in the titular role as Cruella de Vil and is based on the 101 Dalmatians franchise. Cruella had a theatrical release in the US in May this year along with Disney+ with its Premier Access. Now, the film is finally set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from August 27, 2021.

The streaming platform was announced along with a new trailer and a poster. The movie is described as "Brilliant. Bad. A little bit mad. She's just getting started Darlings, and it's going to be one hell of a ride!"

Cruella will also be releasing in Hindi Tamil and Telugu languages along with English.

The film follows the early days of one of cinema’s most notorious and notoriously fashionable villains. During the 1970s London punk rock revolution, a young grifter (Emma Stone), transforms herself into the raucous, revenge-bent Cruella de Vil.

Cruella is directed by Craig Gillespie and penned by Dana Fox and Tony McNamara. Whereas Andrew Gunn, Marc Platt and Kristin Burr are the producers.

The superhit film also features Emma Thompson, Joel Fry, Paul Walter Hauser, Emily Beecham, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Mark Strong in pivotal roles.

The sequel to Cruella is in the works and the official announcement has been made by Disney earlier this month. Emma will be reprising her titular role.

During its theatrical release, the Disney live-action adaptation went on to become the seventh highest-grossing film of 2021. The film minted about $226 million worldwide.

Before Cruella, Emma voiced the character of Eep Crood in The Croods: A New Age which hit the screens in November 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic.
