Crushed: Lead actor of mini-series, Aadhya Anand says her social media is 'crushed' with congratulatory messages

Actor Aadhya Anand from Amazon miniTV's recent series Crushed, is currently basking in the glory of the success of the show. Anand seems to have become an internet sensation and a nationwide crush ever since she appeared on the mini-series as Aadhya Mathur. The actor said her social media is flooded with about 500 to 600 messages every day.

Crushed is a coming-of-age drama that has become the talk of the town, ever since it was released. The story is about sidekicks in a high school that holds some nostalgic value as it transports the viewers to the good old days of school. Aadhya Anand plays the role of Aadhya Mathur, a cute and bubbly ‘sidekick’. She's become an internet sensation with many declaring as the 'new crush in town'.

Aadhya had earlier talked about all the love and appreciation she's been receiving since the show was out. On becoming the internet crush, she said in a statement that it is overwhelming to see that she has become an internet sensation. She expressed her gratitude for all the love the show and her character have been receiving. "My DM is flooded with 500-600 congratulatory messages each day, appreciating my character. I have seen myself being mentioned in numerous comments, posts, stories, and reels on social media. The audience is loving my work across generations and for young boys, I have become their crush after they watched me as Aadhya Mathur in the series. I am really grateful for all the love and appreciation I am receiving from everyone,” she said.

Along with the fans, popular actor, Pooja Bhatt had also praised Aadhya and congratulated her. 

The series Crushed is streaming on Amazon miniTV on the Amazon Shopping app for free. The season finale was out on February 2, 2022. The show is created by Dice Media (Pocket Aces). It tells the story of two sidekicks as they experience love for the very first time. Directed by Heena Dsouza and Mandar Kurundkar, the series features an ensemble of talented actors that also includes Rudhraksh Jaiswal, Urvi Singh, Naman Jain, Arjun Deswal, and Anupriya Caroli.
