As Chennai Super Kings take on Mumbai Indians today at MA Chidambaram Stadium at Chepauk, stars descended one after the other to catch the thrilling match in action. One of the first actors to be spotted at the venue was Dhanush, who was seen in his Captain Miller avatar.
He donned a stylish and flaunted his long beard. The actor was seen watching the match with producer Archana Kalpathi. It is to be noted Archana was elected Vice President of the Tamil Film Producers Council elections As the camera panned over Dhanush's mass look, there were whistles all across the stadium. Leo director Lokesh Kanagaraj, too, joined the duo later.
Also present at the stadium were music composer Anirudh Ravichander, who was having a gala time along with Lady Superstar Nayanthara and producer and director Vignesh Shivan. The Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kadhal trio seem to have had a lot of fun as they cheered for Dhoni and men. They were also spotted posing for their fans from the box. And that's not all! Actress Nivetha Pethuraj was seen donning the CSK jersey and cheering for the men in yellow.
There was a strong buzz that Thalapathy Vijay would arrive at Chepauk to watch the match. Vijay fans had speculated that the Leo actor had promised CSK Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni that he would watch one of the matches at the stadium and that he would watch this match live. However, Vijay wasn't spotted at the stadium, much to the disappointment of Thalapathy fans.
In the meantime, CSK fans have been sharing a video of a boy whose wish was to see Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma lose his wicket without a run! "I want Rohit Sharma to get out for a duck," he says in the video. Interestingly, the young fans' wish indeed came true and Rohit Sharma was dismissed without scoring a single run. The video has now gone viral on social media.
