Curry & Cyanide - The Jolly Joseph Case trailer - Netflix documentary unravels the darkness of the Koodathayi Cyanide case

Jolly Joseph, a mother, wife, daughter, and person, is suspected of murder. A series of unanticipated deaths unfolds in the picturesque town of Koodathai, and at the core of it all is a neighbour who is known for attending church and being chatty. Curry & Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case, India Today Original's first documentary feature with Netflix India, will release on December 22, offering an intriguing glimpse into a sorrowful series of events.

The allegations against Jolly Joseph

Jolly Joseph, a professor, stands accused of masterminding the poisoning of six members of his family with cyanide, including a two-year-old child. The director of the documentary, Christo Tomy, who received the National Award, enlisted the services of Union Editorial, a post-production business based in the United States, to edit it. The purpose of this documentary is to reveal the dramatic contrast between the public image of Jolly Joseph and the sinister truth that lies beneath the surface through the use of firsthand testimonials.

Curry & Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case presents an examination of the horrific events that unfolded during the Koodathayi Cyanide case. Viewers are encouraged to ponder the fragile nature of human relationships and the enigmatic secrets that lurk beneath seemingly ordinary lives. The documentary film, which is one hour and 35 minutes long, will be available in English and Malayalam.

Executive Producer: Chandni Ahlawat Dabas is the executive producer of the documentary, with Moumita Sen being the creative producer. Christo Tomy directed the documentary, while Shalini Ushadevi penned it. Zach Kashkett and James Haygood served as supervising editors.
