Tamil director Venkat Prabhu and popular Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya are joining forces the Tamil-Telugu bilingual, Custody, a cop thriller. The film, slated to hit screens in both the languages on May 12, wrapped its shoot recently. Produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi under Srinivasaa Silver Screen, the thriller also stars Krithi Shetty, Priyamani, Arvind Swami and Sarathkumar in key roles too.

The makers, today, unveiled the first look of Arvind Swami in the film today. He’s cast as an antagonist Raju a.k.a Raazu in Custody. With a funky hairdo, Arvind Swami is spotted with handcuffs behind the bars in the intense first look. The first glimpse of Custody and the first look of Krithi Shetty as Revathi grabbed many eyeballs in the recent weeks.

Sampath Raj, Premji, Vennela Kishore, Premi Vishwanath form the supporting cast of the film made on a lavish scale and is believed to be the most expensive project in Naga Chaitanya’s career. Pavan Kumar presents the thriller which has music by Ilaiyaraaja and his son, composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. Abburi Ravi writes the dialogues and SR Kathir is the cinematographer.

Rajeevan and DY Satyanarayana are the production designer and the art director respectively. While Naga Chaitanya and Venkat Prabhu were to work on the remake of the latter’s Tamil hit Maanaadu, they dropped the idea and moved ahead with a fresh story instead. Rana Daggubati has reportedly expressed interest on headlining Maanaadu’s Telugu version (whose rights are owned by Suresh Productions).
