A flurry of small budget, medium and big scale Telugu projects are testing their fate at the box office this weekend. From a comedy to a musical to a thriller to a drama and a mass entertainer, there are options aplenty for viewers, both in theatres on OTT.

Theatrical releases - May 12

Bhuvana Vijayam

A comedy entertainer directed by Yalamanda Charan brings together several leading comedians including Sunil, Dhanraj, Viva Harsha, Prudhvi Raj, Vennela Kishore in key roles. The film is produced by V Srikanth and P Uday Kiran.

Music School

A multilingual musical drama, written, directed and produced by Papa Rao Biyyala, the film stars Sharman Joshi, Shriya Saran, Shaan, Prakash Raj, Mona Ambegaonkar, Vinay Varma, Ozu Borua and others in key roles.

A Beautiful Girl

Starring Nihal Kodhaty, Drishika Chander, Madhunandan, Bhargava Poludasu, Bhavana Durgam, Samarth Yug, Devi Nagavali, Meher Sriram, the film is written and directed by Ravi Prakash Bodapati. The film has music by Arviz and Gideon Katta.

Custody

The Tamil-Telugu cop thriller directed by Venkat Prabhu features an ensemble cast comprising Naga Chaitanya, Krithi Shetty, Aravind Swami, Premi Vishwanath, Vennela Kishore, Priya Mani, Sarath Kumar. With music by Ilaiyarajaa and Yuvan Shankar Raja, the film is produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi.

OTT releases

Shaakuntalam (May 12)

The epic drama, adapted for the screen and directed by Gunasekhar, stars Samantha, Ananya Nagalla, Sachin Khedekar, Dev Mohan, Aditi Balan, Kabir Bedi and others. The film is produced by Neelima Guna and has music by Mani Sharma.

Rudhrudu (May 12)

Starring Raghava Lawrence, Sarath Kumar, Priya Bhavani Shankar and others in key roles, the mass entertainer is directed and produced by Kathiresan. The film has music by GV Prakash Kumar and Sam CS, with cinematography by RD Rajasekar and is edited by Anthony.

Newsense (May 12)

The drama, created and directed by Sri Prawin Kumar, stars Navdeep, Bindu Madhavi, Katta Anthony and others in key roles. With story and screenplay by Priyadarshini Ram, the show is produced by People Media Factory.
