D/O Prasad Rao Kanabadutaledhu OTT release date: When, where to stream Rajeev Kanakala's new series

As Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is creating havoc on Zee5 with solid viewership, the noted platform has come up with yet another brand-new show titled D/O Prasad Rao Kanabadutaledhu. The makers have released the show's trailer, and it looks quite interesting. 

Rajeev Kanakala, Udaya Bhanu, and Vasanthika play the main leads in this show, which revolves around a father's hunt for his missing daughter. Along with the trailer, the makers have also announced that D/O Prasad Rao will be available for streaming on Zee5 from February 27, 2026. Once it lands on OTT, you can also stream the show on OTTplay Premium.

The trailer opens with scenes of Prasad Garu showering immense love and affection on his only daughter, Swathi, played by Vasanthika. As he gears up to take up a job in Hyderabad, Prasad Rao is fearful of city life. 

Adding to his worries, Swathi goes missing. Things are not what they seem, as Swathi’s life is being monitored, and she is kidnapped in a planned manner. The main villain, or who is behind Swathi going missing, has not been highlighted much, keeping the suspense intact. 

A helpless father, played by Rajeev Kanakala, lands in Hyderabad and seeks the help of a top cop, played by Udaya Bhanu, to solve the case. This forms the crux of the story, and the manner in which the events unfold in an IT campus looks quite interesting.

Krishna Poluru has directed the show, which has a rather ordinary storyline. The series has seven episodes in total, but the makers say that the way the investigation is showcased will be quite thrilling. After a long gap, Udaya Bhanu is seen in a key role as a cop, and she looks impressive.

With each passing day, Rajeev Kanakala is getting solid roles, and he looks convincing as the desperate father searching for his missing daughter. The series has been backed by the makers of Recce and Viraatapalem, both streaming on OTTplay Premium.

Ram Maddury has composed the background score, and it is quite effective. Gayatri Bhargavi plays a key role in this low-budget series. The premise looks routine, but the characters are interesting. One needs to see if the series is worth a watch. For now, the trailer raises curiosity thanks to the ensemble cast and a few gripping moments.
