The latest Telugu series revolves around a father who is frantically searching for his daughter. Rajeev Kanakala plays the desperate father in the series, along with Vasanthika, Gayathri Bhardwaj, and Uday Bhanu. Another Telugu thriller, but this time a movie led by Naveen Chandra. He plays Anand, who turns to occult practices to make some money and even pulls in his wife and daughter. But this leads to bigger consequences involving his daughter. Divya Pillai and Divi Vadthya play the other key characters, directed by Karuna Kumar.
The Tamil series takes us back to the 1990s, where mysterious deaths are reported along the border villages. There are similarities in the murders, which sparks fear among the villagers. A police inspector, who has been transferred to the region, leads the investigation. Samuthirakani plays the lead role, along with Shivada, Raj Tirandas, and Munnar Ramesh, among others.
The Malayalam series, touted to be a psychological thriller, depicts a teenager’s ordeal as she repeatedly has the same nightmare of a stalker. And the most eye-catching detail - he has green eyes. Sanjana Dipu plays Roslin in the series, along with Meena, Vineeth and Hakim Shajahan. Drishyam 3 director Jeethu Joseph is the showrunner of the series.
This Malayalam film follows two cops who find themselves in a spot after a routine night patrolling as a man goes missing. The cops have to find the truth before it is too late. Actors Navya Nair and Soubin Shahir play the lead roles in the film, which is helmed by Ratheena PT. Sunny Wayne, Ann Augustine and Harisree Ashokan are also part of the film.
Neeli Hakki
An award-winning Kannada movie, Neeli Hakki (Blue Bird), revolves around a young village boy whose parents decide to migrate to the city for a better life. Ganesh Hegde has directed the 2021 film, which won accolades at film festivals and is only making its digital release in 2026. For its heartwarming tale and touching performances, Neeli Hakki deserves to be on your watchlist.
