D23 Expo 2022 is being held in Los Angeles, and fans can't contain their excitement with the new announcements happening at every interval. Interestingly, even Indian titles were announced at the event, and one of the filmmakers who did the honours was Karan Johar.

During the event, a new Mumbai-set series starring Emraan Hashmi was also introduced. The drama series, Showtime, highlights all the conflicts that take place off-screen for control of the show's direction. As producers for the show, which is supported by Dharmatic Entertainment Production, are Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra.

The eighth season of Johar's celebrity talk show, Koffee with Karan, is currently being produced for Disney+ Hotstar. The show is currently in its seventh season and is produced by Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Aneesha Baig.

In a statement, Johar said that in addition to yet another exciting season of his beloved show, Koffee With Karan, the filmmaker is pleased to announce an all-new Dharma Production series, Showtime, which will reveal the biggest trade secrets of India's entertainment industry. KJo is excited to associate with Disney+ Hotstar for our new collaboration, announced at the prestigious D23 Expo.

Koffee With Karan Season 7 is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The filmmaker-host has been receiving mixed reviews for the talk show, but people are enjoying it as a guilty pleasure. Until now, the celebs who made it to the Koffee couch are Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Panday, Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam K Ahuja, Arjun Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, Vicky Kaushal, Shahid Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Kriti Sanon, Tiger Shroff, Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter, and Siddhant Chaturvedi.

Meanwhile, apart from Showtime, Emraan also has a series produced by Excel Entertainment. The actor made his OTT series debut back in 2019 with Netflix's Bard of Blood.
