Dhanush, who is currently busy with Arun Matheswaran's Captain Miller, has signed his next project with Sun Pictures. The actor made the announcement on his social media handle, along with a picture of a small town from where smoke is seen emanating. The poster says that the updates from the film, which is tentatively being referred to as D50, will be out soon. As the title suggests, this is Dhanush's 50th film and is touted to be a gangster drama. We hear that SJ Suryah and Vishnu Vishal are likely to be part of the film as well.
In the meantime, the shoot for Captain Miller is going in full swing. The film has Kannada Superstar Shiva Rajkumar playing a crucial role and Priyanka Mohan as the leading lady, marking both the actors' maiden collaboration with Dhanush. The rest of the star cast includes Sundeep Kishan and John Kokken to name a few. Music is by GV Prakash Kumar. Cinematography is by Shreyaas Krishna and editing is by Nagooran. The film is bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi Films.
Dhanush is also awaiting the release of Vaathi, which is helmed by Venky Atluri. The actor plays a teacher who goes against the corrupt educational system. The film, which is set in the '80s, is likely to have Samyuktha Menon as the leading lady and is likely to hit screens in February.
Sun Pictures is currently producing Superstar Rajinikanth's next Jailer, which is helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The star cast for the film includes Shiva Rajkumar (marking his Tamil debut), Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan, Vasanth Ravi to name a few. While Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music, cinematography is by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing is by RR Nirmal. It is to be noted Dhanush's 2022 hit Thiruchitrambalam was also bankrolled by Sun Pictures.
