Daaku Maharaaj Hindi box office collection day 3: Balakrishna's film earns shockingly low numbers

Daaku Maharaaj is Balakrishna's latest film, which hit the screens on January 12, 2025. Directed by Bobby Kolli, the action drama has grossed just over ₹80 crore at the box office, placing it in a safe zone. While the theatrical run is almost complete, the Hindi version was released on January 26, 2025, as a Republic Day special.

Unfortunately, the Urvashi Rautela-starrer has received a disastrous response in the northern belt. So far, Daaku Maharaaj has earned only ₹34 lakh in Hindi, reflecting poor collections and reaffirming that Balakrishna has little market presence in the Hindi-speaking regions.

Before the release, producer Naga Vamsi had claimed that Daaku Maharaaj would perform well in the North, as the story is set there. However, that prediction did not materialize, and the film failed to make an impact. The Tamil version also underperformed, with lackluster collections.

Daaku Maharaaj crosses Rs 80 crore mark in Telugu

In Telugu, however, the film managed to break even, primarily due to the lucrative Sankranthi season. With consecutive holidays and a decent opening, Balayya’s fans and mass audiences embraced the film. Urvashi Rautela also kept the project in the news with her bold claims that the film had set records in Telugu. While this generated some initial hype, it ultimately worked against the film.

Balakrishna is currently in the best phase of his career, delivering four consecutive hits, including Daaku Maharaaj. Thaman's music, particularly his background score, has significantly elevated the film.

As of now, Balakrishna is busy shooting for Akhanda 2 in Hyderabad. Recently, he was honored with the prestigious Padma Bhushan Award by the Indian government, and a grand felicitation event is being planned in his honor.

However, despite its success in Telugu, the Hindi version of Daaku Maharaaj has ended as a box-office disaster. Netflix has bagged the OTT rights to this film and will stream it on February 9, 2025. Stay tuned for more updates on this project.
