Daaku Maharaaj out on OTT: Nandamuri Balakrishna’s latest film out on streaming platform after a month since release

Daaku Maharaaj, the recently released Telugu film starring actor Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role, has made its OTT debut. The film is available for streaming on Netflix. It is available in multiple languages including Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.

Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, who has a massive fanbase and is fondly known as Balayya, starred in the 2025 film Daaku Maharaaj. The film released in theatres for the festival of Sankranthi and following its success, is now premiering on OTT. The film, which had much talks surrounding it, for its song Dabidi Dibidi, is now available on Netflix. It can be watched in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.

Helmed by filmmaker Bobby Kolli, the action drama is bankrolled by Sitara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas and Srikara Studios. The ensemble star cast includes Urvashi Rautela, Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, Rishi, Chandini Chowdary, Pradeep Rawat, Sachin Khedekar, Shine Tom Chacko, Viswant Duddumpudi, Aadukalam Naren and Ravi Kishan. In particular, the film’s song Dabidi Dibidi featuring Urvashi Rautela and Nandamuri Balakrishna garnered enough attention for its choreography. However, the erasure of Urvashi’s image from the recent poster of the film has also raised concerns among social media users.

Is Daaku Maharaaj a successful theatrical venture?

The film did not perform as well as one would expect a star film to do, given it was released for the festival of Sankranthi. However, the makers are safe as they entered the profit zone. The digital rights were sold for Rs 40 crore and the film earned Rs 87 crore through theatrical run.

Daaku Maharaaj is written and directed by Bobby Kolli and has music by S Thaman. The film was shot by Vijay Karthik Kannan and edited by Ruben and Niranjan Devaramane. You can stream Daaku Maharaaj on Netflix for this weekend.
