Shalini Pandey recently starred in the Netflix series Dabba Cartel, which was released on February 28, 2025. The actress worked with Shabana Azmi, Jyotika, Anjali Anand, Nimisha Sajayan, and Sai Tamhankar on the show—backed by Excel Entertainment . In a post-release interview, Pandey shared her experience working with veteran actress Shabana. The actress revealed a few things she learned from her Dabba Cartel co-star.

In an interview with Mid-Day, Shalini Pandey opened up about sharing screen space with Shabana Azmi in Dabba Cartel. The actress admitted that she understood life better as an artiste and person through the veteran actress.

"We have all seen her brilliance as an artiste, but I had the fortune of knowing her as a human being, closely. The way she carries herself with so much grace, generosity and strength is something I have taken home with me," shared Shalini. The actress added that she wishes to treat young women the way Azmi treated and inspired her.

Apart from working with talented actors, Shalini feels blessed for the opportunities she has got in her acting career. The actress, who rose to fame with Vijay Deverakonda-starrer Arjun Reddy, shared that she received similar role offers but she rejected them.

"I did get similar offers and I have said no to them. Sometimes, it also happens that a part feels similar to what you have done, but you sit with the director and figure out how it can be made different," revealed Shalini.

Shalini Pandey's work front

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shalini made her Bollywood debut with Yash Raj Films' Jayeshbhai Jordaar. She shared screen space with Ranveer Singh in the film, which bombed at the box office. The actress later featured in the Netflix film Maharaj with Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan. Her upcoming movie is Idly Kadai with Dhanush.
