Adivi Sesh is one of those actors in Telugu cinema who takes his own time to do films. It has been quite some time since we have seen Sesh in a biggie. He was last seen in Major, a biopic on Major Unni Mukundan, who lost his life in the Mumbai 26/11 attacks. Now, he is shooting for an action romantic drama titled Dacoit.

The film was in the news as the female lead, Shruti Haasan, walked out after shooting significant portions of the film. Mrunal Thakur of Sita Ramam fame replaced her in the film, which is now almost set to wrap up its shoot. The latest update is that the teaser of the film will be out on May 27, 2025, in a special event arranged by the makers in Hyderabad.
Shaniel Deo is making his debut as the director with Dacoit, and he has planned special events for the teaser launch. The release date of the film will also be announced along with the teaser. The Kshanam actor has penned the story and written the screenplay for this film, which has music by Sricharan Pakala.

Dacoit is being produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and Suniel Narang, while Annapurna Studios is presenting the action drama.
