Dacoit teaser: Adivi Sesh's cunning conman role impresses, makers announce the release date

Adivi Sesh made heads turn with the film Kshanam. From then on, he has done some very interesting films like Major, Goodachari, and HIT 2. Now, he is ready with his new film Dacoit, which has been in the making for close to three years now. Shruti Haasan was roped in to play the female lead, but she walked out of the film citing creative differences.

In her place, Mrunal Thakur was brought in, and now the makers are almost done with the shoot and have released the teaser, which looks quite gripping. The teaser starts by showcasing Mrunal Thakur in the role of a housewife going through issues. Then, cut to the next shot, Adivi Sesh is shown as an inmate who is up to something big. 

Going by the title, Adivi Sesh plays a dacoit in the film, and all this has been showcased in a very interesting way. The presence of Anurag Kashyap in the film makes things even more intriguing. He plays the main villain, and it marks his Telugu debut.

Dacoit is being directed by debutant Shaneil Deo, and he has made sure that Adivi Sesh is showcased in a completely new avatar. With the teaser, the makers also revealed that Dacoit will hit the screens on December 25, 2025, as a Christmas special.

Mrunal Thakur is seen in yet another tailor-made role in this film, which the makers say is a love story. But behind all this, Dacoit is an action-packed con drama. Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni, Zayn Marie Khan, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla play key roles in the film, which has been produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and Suniel Narang.

Sankranthiki Vasthunnam fame Bheems Ceciroleo has composed the music for this film. Adivi Sesh is a man known to ghost-direct his films, and it looks like the same has happened here, as the teaser creates interest right away. Stay tuned for more updates on this project.
