Dada: Kavin says his dream of 12 years has come true, ahead of film's digital release

Kavin's recent outing Dada just dropped on Amazon Prime Video and fans of the actor can't be more excited. The film, helmed by Ganesh K Babu, has Aparna Das playing the leading lady. Dada revolves around a young couple who get separated after their son is born and the father is entrusted with the responsibility of taking care of the child. The film opened to positive reviews and became a sleeper hit.

Ahead of the OTT release of the film, Kavin took to his social media handle and dropped a video in which he thanked everyone for their support. He said, "The love and appreciation you showed for the film during its theatrical release was much bigger than what we had expected. We were confident that we had made a good film and that the audience would accept a good film."

He added, " I had told at the time of the film's release that this was a 12-year dream. I am grateful to all those who made the dream come true. Despite making a good film, to take it to a large audience continues to remain a challenge. I thank each and everyone who bought tickets and went and watched the film in theatres."

Kavin asked the audience to support him during the OTT release as well. "Everyone is doing a lot of hardwork and we believe that we will get the recognition for the same. A good film will always be saved by the audiecne. You have proved it once again. We believe that you will give the same support during the film's OTT release as well."

The film's director Ganesh K Babu, too, took to his social media handle and stated that those who missed Dada in theatres can now watch the film on OTT. He wrote, "For those who missed  #Dada in  theatres, you can now watch  on @PrimeVideoIN streaming from tonight!  @APVMaran @Ezhil_DOP #dadaonprime #primevideoin (sic)."
