In the movie business, so many actors come and go. Some performers etch their names into history, while others simply disappear. However, there are only a few performers who have demonstrated such excellence in the industry and such talent that we are never bored watching their work on screen. Vijay Varma is one such rare talent in the acting world.

With his incredible performance, the actor has demonstrated once more that he is here to stay—and stay for a very long time. Since he played a grey character in Darlings, I honestly anticipated that seeing him play a similar role might grow a little monotonous. However, believe me when I say that he still plays a distinct and different character in this one. And lately, when I had the chance to speak personally with him, he revealed that he received his acting training from actors we had grown up admiring, not from any reputable institutions. Talking about acing grey characters on screen, Vijay revealed that he had grown up inspiration from superstars like Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. He said, "I am able to function in these characters because they have an ingredient of mystery and charm, that's makes them an interesting watch. I remember watching cinema, I was drawn to characters that Shah Rukh Khan played earlier in his career, of Mr Bachchan where he played an antagonist, an angry young man, and so on. Some of the finest characters have dabbled with twisted characters, so that was my schooling."

In the near future, Vijay will appear alongside Sara Ali Khan in Sujoy Ghosh's "Devotion of Suspect X" and "Murder Mubarak."
