Delhi-born Daksha Nagarkar, last seen in hits like Hushaaru and Zombie Reddy, is another actress who's set to be seen in a song appearance in Bangarraju. She was roped in to groove alongside Naga Chaitanya in a celebration song. Daksha had shot for the peppy song with the star in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad and Mysuru. This isn't quite a conventional choice coming from an upcoming name like Daksha, unlike her contemporaries who've been on a signing spree once their film emerges successful at the box office.
The actress calls Naga Chaitanya her ‘first dance co-star on screen’. “We rehearsed for the song a lot before going for the shoot. He was quite patient and forthcoming even when I repeatedly rehearsed a few moves,” she adds, besides sharing that the experience left her in awe of the Akkinenis. Reportedly, the actress bonded with Naga Chaitanya over jokes, and also happened to meet Nagarjuna while the latter was shooting for his scenes in the film, labelling the entire experience a ‘double delight’.
Daksha reveals that they got talking on a wide range of topics. “I asked him about his fascination for tattoos, love for snakes, etc. He even showed me his latest tattoos (full arm tattoo),” she states. Directed by Kalyan Krishna Kuralasa, Bangarraju, also starring Krithi Shetty, Ramya Krishna is set to hit theatres on January 14. Anup Rubens has scored the music.
Besides the rural entertainer, Daksha is touted to make her Tamil debut with a high-profile project featuring a star hero. An official announcement about the same is expected to be out soon.
