'Dal chawal hi best hai': Ranbir Kapoor opens up on life after getting married to Alia Bhatt for the first time

Ranbir Kapoor spoke about his life after getting married to Alia Bhatt early in 2022. The actor believes in the concept of ‘dal chawal’ now that he is a husband too. He was talking about being married for the first time at Shamshera trailer launch.

At the event, Ranbir recalled his dialogue from his film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani while talking about his wedding with Alia. The actor said that while he has said the dialogue, “Shaadi is 50 saal till you die,” and that people should try tangdi kabab, kheema pav and hakka noodles, he himself is sure after the kind of experience he had, that dal chawal is the best. “Zindagi ke tajurbe ke baad, dal chawal hi best hai,” Ranbir said at the press meet.

A journalist asked Ranbir about his back-to-back releases in Brahmastra and Shamshera. The actor said, “I don’t know if it’s an unfortunate thing or a fortunate thing that both my films are releasing in 45 days’ span.”

The actor then spoke about having a great year because he is finally married. Describing it as a ‘beautiful thing,’ Ranbir called Alia the tadka to his dal chawal. He also called her the ‘achaar and pyaaz’ to his dal chawal.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in life,” Ranbir confessed, when he once again openly accepted his love for Alia on a public platform, after their wedding. The couple tied the knot on April 14, 2022.

Ranbir and Alia fell in love on the sets of their upcoming film Brahmastra. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, which is the first installment of his Astraverse, will release on September 9, 2022.

Ranbir flew back from Croatia, where he was shooting for Luv Ranjan’s film with Shraddha Kapoor. He attended the trailer launch for his upcoming YRF movie Shamshera.

Also featuring Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in pivotal roles, Shamshera is expected to release in theatres on July 22. The movie is helmed by Karan Malhotra of Agneepath fame.
