A photo of Fatima Sana Shaikh from her breakout performance as wrestler Geeta Phogat in Dangal (2016) is making the rounds online. In the photo, she bears an eerie similarity to cricketer Shubman Gill. When asked about the comparison, Fatima remarked that Gill is a good-looking guy and she is delighted to join in the fun, showing indifference to the comparison.

Fatima Sana Shaikh's response to the comparison

During an interaction with Hindustan Times, the actor shared that her friends tagged her in the posts and made fun of her once they saw them online. She did see the post, and even she can't dispute that there is a resemblance. All her friends tagged her on it, and nobody spared her. The actor insisted that there was no problem, and it was very funny.

Fatima revealed that several renowned personalities have been compared to her. A lot of people have approached her and complimented her on how much she resembles Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Gandhi. The actor added that she shouldn't be surprised that she looks like other people because she believes that everyone has at least ten doppelgangers.

Significance of Dangal

Fatima went on to say that the fact that this photo has gone viral seven years after the film's release is significant to her because it indicates that people remember her performance and the part she played in the film. She was pleased that they were able to immediately notice the resemblance; it is very strong.

Fatima recently portrayed the role of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in Sam Bahadur. Meghna Gulzar directed the biopic, with Vicky Kaushal starring in the titular role.

Moreover, her film, Dhak Dhak, which was released in October this year, is currently streaming on Netflix. Tarun Dudeja directed the film, with Fatima, Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza, and Sanjana Sanghi in the lead roles.
