Knives Out became an instant hit and was well received by fans and critics when it was released in 2019. The second instalment, which will see Daniel Craig reprise his role as Detective Benoir Blanc, has finished filming and will soon be ready for release.

Craig has recently opened up about the film, and said that it will be very different from the original.

Talking to Empire, Craig said “We've just finished the second one, literally weeks ago. Dare I say it’s better? We'll see. I don't want to tempt fate. It's different, and that's the amazing thing. It's still a Benoit Blanc mystery, but it's very different.”

Knives Out was a whodunnit murder mystery, but with an engaging plot and a fresh take on the genre.

Realising the potential of the movie and the character, Netflix swooped in last year to pen a massive $400 million deal, purchasing two additional sequels.

Knives Out 2 finished production in September, but is still untitled.

The film will feature a whole new mystery and has a star studded cast. Apart from Craig, the movie also features Edward Norton, Dave Bautista, Kate Hudson, Ethan Hawke, Jessica Henwick, Kathryn Hahn, and Madelyn Cline.

There has been no official release date from Netflix for Knives Out 2, but it is expected to release in 2022.
