The Kingpin Wilson Fisk is the Mayor of New York and he’s still got his anti-vigilante task force on the look-out for Matt Murdock’s Daredevil. With the Punisher imprisoned by the Kingpin, Daredevil is running out of allies, it seems, until, of course, Hell’s Kitchen’s private investigator superhero Jessica Jones joins the fight. Daredevil Born Again Season 2 is bringing Krysten Ritter’s back into the MCU, but even with the extra muscle to back him up, taking on Fisk is not going to be easy for Matt, who sports a bloodied face quite often in the teaser.
When will Daredevil Born Again Season 2 drop on OTT?
The reunion apart, what’s also exciting about the teaser is that a release date has been announced for the new season. This time too, there will be 8 episodes, 2 of which will drop as a premiere on March 24, 2026, and will be available in India on JioHotstar (via OTTplay Premium too). “This season, the Devil moves into the shadows”, read the official announcement of Season 2’s premiere.
The synopsis, meanwhile, reads, “Mayor Wilson Fisk crushed New York City underfoot as he hunts down public enemy number one, the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil. But beneath the horned mask, Matt Murdock will try to fight back from the shadows to tear down the Kingpin’s corrupt empire and redeem his home. Resist. Rebel. Rebuild.”
Given that the Punisher is already a part of Daredevil Born Again, Jessica’s return has sparked speculation of a full-blown Defenders reunion in the eventual takedown of the Kingpin. Vincent D’Onofrio as Fisk/Kingpin, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Wilson Bethel as Poindexter/Bullseye, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/the Punisher, among others, return for Season 2, while Matthew Lillard joins as new character Charles.
