Darling Krishna reveals the first video song from Love Mocktail 2, Ninadena Januma

Prior to the theatrical release of the sequel to his successful film Love Mocktail, Darling Krishna was in a bit of a fix. The actor-director could not share images or visuals from the film lest it reveal too much about the story he was set to present with Love Mocktail 2 . All the songs that were released were lyrical videos that told audiences precious little and he was miserly with visuals even in the trailer, allowing people to figure out just the basic premise.

But now that the film is in its third week in theatres, Krishna has finally begun releasing the videos of the songs, starting with Ninadena Januma, sung by music composer Nakul Abhyankar. It’s understandable why Krishna kept the visuals hidden for so long, because Ninadena Januma is a song that describes his character Adi’s turmoil after losing Nidhi, and shows just how much he misses her with frequent flashbacks to his time with her. Krishna, we reckon, didn’t want audiences to know of Milana’s presence as Nidhi in the film, until after they’d seen it in theatres. But the highlight of Ninadena Januma is not only the visuals of Adi and Nidhi, but the beautiful locations the song was shot at, including Ladakh, captured brilliantly by cinematographer-editor Srii Crazyminds.

Following its very successful theatrical outing, Love Mocktail 2 is expected to head to Amazon Prime Video, considering that the original was also snapped up by the streaming platform two years ago. Love Mocktail 2 takes off two years after the events of the first film, with Adi still unable to come to terms with the loss of the love of his life, Nidhi. But when his friends try to set him up in the hope of him finding new love, he finally agrees and it appears that time does, after all, heal. Can Adi find his happily-ever-after? This forms the crux of the film.
