Darlings actor Vijay Varma roped in for Sujoy Ghosh's segment in Lust Stories 2?

Vijay Varma has been roped in to play a prominent role in Lust Stories 2. The actor will essay the role of the male lead in the segment directed by Sujoy Ghosh.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Vijay will portray a character the likes of which the actor has never played before in his career. The makers are yet to lock in the leading lady for the segment. A source told the portal that filming would begin once the female lead has been finalised.

The upcoming film will mark Vijay and Sujoy’s latest collaboration together. The duo have worked together on the film The Devotion of Suspect X, which co-stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat. The film’s shoot had wrapped up in June.

Lust Stories 2 will feature segments directed by R Balki, Amit Sharma and Konkona Sen Sharma. While Kajol will lead Amit’s segment, Angad Bedi and Mrunal Thakur will star in the segment directed by Balki. Tillotama Shome and Amruta Subhash willreportedly star in Konkona’s directorial. Amit and Konkona have reportedly wrapped up filming their segments of the sequel.

The original 2018 anthology featured segments helmed by Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee, and Karan Johar. The film marked the second instalment in the series of anthology films that began with Bombay Talkies in 2013. Lust Stories was followed by Ghost Stories in 2020. Vijay had also been a part of Ghost Stories as well, essaying a role in Zoya Akhtar’s segment that also starred Janhvi Kapoor.

Meanwhile, Vijay was recently seen in the Netflix film Darlings, in which he shared the screen with Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah and Roshan Mathew.
