Darlings: It’s a wrap for Alia Bhatt’s first production, but 'one final chapter is yet to be written'

Darlings marks the first film of Alia Bhat as a producer under her production company Eternal Sunshine Productions. The shooting of this upcoming black comedy film started earlier this year in July. Co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, the highly-anticipated movie also stars Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew in pivotal roles, apart from Alia. Now, the makers of Darlings have announced the wrap of the film.

A small video was shared on the official page of Eternal Sunshine Productions on Instagram, where Alia can be seen declaring that “it’s a wrap” with the whole cast and crew. The latest post reads, “See you soon, Darlings (sic).”

While in another post, the whole cast and crew can be seen celebrating their final day on the sets. The second video features behind the camera clips and pictures of the actors and creators. The Instagram post captioned, “but one final chapter is yet to be written.”

Meanwhile, the actor-turned-producer shared the same post on her Instagram and wrote, “Darlings, it's a wrap!! We have done our best to make a film that we are hoping you will love!
See you at the movies (sic).”

Darlings is based on the mother-daughter relationship and, is set in a conservative lower-middle-class neighbourhood. Alia and Shefali will be portraying the characters of daughter and mother respectively. The release date of the film hasn’t been out yet, however, it has been anticipated to release later this year.
