Actor, director Vishwak Sen, recently in the news for Ori Devuda and Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam, is set to take the pan-Indian route with his directorial titled Das Ka Dhamki. The film, to hit screens in February 2023, is an out-and-out masala fare that'll simultaneously release in four languages - Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. Das Ka Dhamki is bankrolled by Karate Raju under Vanmaye Creations and Vishwaksen Cinemas. The trailer was launched by actor, politician Nandamuri Balakrishna today.
The trailer confirms that Vishwak Sen is set play a dual role for the first time in his career, as a sophisticated industrialist in a company with a huge annual turnover and a waiter. When the entrepreneur meets his end, the future of the company is in trouble. Here's when the waiter is asked to take charge of his look alike's company and their family for the time-being. What's in store for the waiter? Is the businessman dead or alive? You need to wait longer to know the answers.
Das Ka Dhamki, going by the trailer, is produced on a huge scale and has all the ingredients of a formidable star vehicle - action, peppy music, romance, humour and drama. By all means, this is the biggest test in the career of Vishwak Sen, both as a director and an actor. However, it's evident that the film is tailormade for a big-screen experience. Rao Ramesh, Hyper Aadi, Rohini and Prithviraj too play supporting roles in the film.
The film's story and dialogues are written by Prasanna Kumar Bezawada. With cinematography by Dinesh K Babu, the film is edited by Anwar Ali and has music by Leon James. A Ramanjaneyulu is the art director while the stunts are choreographed by Todor Lazarov-Juji, Dinesh K Babu and Venkat. The premise resembles Amitabh Bachchan's Don but it seems to have gotten a flashy upgrade in the hands of Vishwak Sen.
