Dasara: Day one collections to be huge, crosses half million in the US

Dasara is Nani's latest release which has been directed by debutante Srikanth Odela. The film is a period drama set in the Singareni coal mines of Telangana. From the day the first look was out, there has been a terrific curiosity as to what the film is all about. Nani's look came out and did all the talking.
Dasara is Nani's biggest release and has been come out on a Pan-India level. This is Nani's first ever big Hindi dubbed release as well. As the promotions were strong the advance bookings were solid. The film has taken off to a solid start at the US box office as it made over half a million from just the premiere shows itself which is the highest ever for a Nani film.

Back in India too, the film has opened to solid occupancy in the Telugu states. The day one occupancy in Telangana is over 95% and big numbers are being expected for the film in Nizam. In the state of AP too, the film has picked up from the afternoon shows as the word of mouth is good.
Dasara needs a whopping 50 crores to be in a safe zone. The makers have already made handsome money from the non-theatrical rights of the film and by the way the film has opened, Dasara will make over 15 crores on just the day one as per the trade. Keerthy Suresh plays the female lead in this film which has Deekshit Shetty as the other lead. Sudhakar Cherukuri has produced it.
