Dasara’s success is a victory of good over this evil called social media negativity, says Nani

Dasara, the action entertainer starring Nani, Keerthy Suresh, is making merry at the box office, more so with its Telugu version. The film, marking the directorial debut of Srikanth Odela, won over critics and audiences alike after its release on March 30. Commemorating its success, the Dasara team came together for an event to Karimnagar to thank crowds. Here’s what Nani shared on the stage.

“Noticing your energy, I realise why my director Srikanth has been insisting me to do an event in Karimnagar. Our tummies are full with your love. People in my team don’t talk much and I think I’ve spoken enough of the movie. Today, I’ll thank you for making Dasara a blockbuster. It was Srikanth’s desire to see a poster about my film collecting Rs 100 crore and the wish has come true today in Karimnagar,” Nani said.

“We all have noticed how you’re celebrating the film in theatres; we have nothing else to ask. I have always done films that struck a chord with me and many discouraged me during this journey. Regardless of who believed or not, you, my fans, have always stood by me. My desire to be a part of good cinema has grown ten-fold with the success of Dasara,” he added.

“You all will have dreams like me, don’t let anyone come in the way and chase them. We live in a generation where eight out of 10 people discourage us from pursuing our dreams, but don’t stop for anyone. If you believe in something, put your heart and soul into it and success is a mere formality. Don’t listen to the people around you. When a film is set to release, many want it to fail. Dasara is a victory of good over evil and we’re celebrating it here today,” the actor stated.

“The success of Dasara belongs to the director, producer, cinematographer and every unit member who was a part of the film and you all. If not for you all, our efforts wouldn’t have materialised. When someone says you can’t be successful in life, you know what to tell them - Baddal Basingalaithayi. We hope to shoot our films in Karimnagar too,” the Shyam Singha Roy star mentioned.

Nani also thanked Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, directors Sukumar, SS Rajamouli for spreading the word about Dasara through their social media posts.
