Malayalam film, Dasettante Cycle, is now available online months after its theatrical release. The family drama is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
The movie, which stars Hareesh Peradi in the lead role, began streaming on the popular OTT platform from this week. Dasettante Cycle did not perform well in theatres after its March premiere this year. However, with its digital premiere, it is anticipated to attract a larger audience. Recently, Malayalam films such as Abhilasham, Vadakkan and Ouseppinte Osiyathu began streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
The film is directed by Akhil Kavungal, who has penned the screenplay for it as well. Vaidi Peradi also play a pivotal role in Dasettante Cycle. Kaathal-fame Sudhi, Tailor Shaji, Kabani Haridas, Anjana Appukuttan, Rathnakaran, Anupama and Akhil Kavungal play supporting parts in the film, which was bankrolled by Hareesh Peradi, Bindu Hareesh, and Sudeep Pachatt under Hareesh Peradi Productions' auspices. Gireesan A C has composed music for this movie. Hareesh Peradi, who is known for his performance in films such as Red Chillies and Life of Josutty, recently appeared in Manorathangal and Malaikottai Vaaliban.
The film won praises for being a moving tale that tackles relevant subjects while fusing humour and poignant scenes. Dasettante Cycle's protagonist is a simple security guard who leads a life of tranquilly until an unforeseen shift in his family's situation leads to a string of unanticipated events that permanently impact his and his loved ones' lives. His worldview is forced to change as a result of these incidents. Overall, the film examines how certain events contribute to a person's personal growth and alters a deeply ingrained outlook on life.
It can be an ideal choice for viewers to enjoy this weekend with Naslen's latest sports drama, Alappuzha Gymkhana, which is available on OTTplay Premium and Sony LIV. This week, no other Malayalam films have made their OTT debuts.
