Dasvi: Yami Gautam poses as a stern cop in her first look from Abhishek Bachchan starrer

Just ahead of the trailer release of Dasvi, the makers have unveiled the first look of the female lead, Yami Gautam Dhar. The film features Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role and has Yami playing the role of a cop named Jyoti Deswal. In her first look, the actor is seen in a uniform and giving a stern look. 

Abhishek captioned the character poster, stating, "Jyoti Ji Badi Saht Hain, trailer aane main abhi thoda waqt hain! #DasviTrailer out tomorrow at 11 am!"

While Yami wrote, "Power, position, ya makkhan se naa pighalti ye sakht chhori. Miliye Jyoti Deswal se #Dasvi trailer mein. #DasviTrailer out tomorrow at 11 am!"

This is Yami's next OTT release after Ginny Weds Sunny, Bhoot Police, and A Thursday. Speaking about having back-to-back OTT releases, the actor had earlier exclusively told OTTplay that from where they are right now, they can't predict what the box office will be like. The action performers are particularly well-liked and admired. However, they will have to find films with a mid-budget, small-budget, or similar budget. They have to look for a road or a way back to the theatre for quite some time. 

Yami also said that we're in a situation where COVID has appeared out of nowhere, and these OTT platforms have come as a huge comfort, a surprise, and a source of support for so many of us. If this platform hadn't existed, people, manufacturers, and investors would have lost a lot of money. It finds its way into the audience's rooms, their homes, in some way. They're waiting now, and they're aware of it. So it's built a captive audience for itself, and it's not going to be simple for us to break through. It will happen, no matter how much one tries to avoid it. It will be difficult because two years is a long time for people to form a habit.

Dasvi is directed by Tushar Jalota and also features Nimrat Kaur as the female lead. The film is set to premiere on Netflix and JioCinema on April 7, 2022.
