Dawshom Awbotaar: Srijit Mukherji screens trailer, parties hard with guests

It was nothing short of a carnival as Srijit Mukherji celebrated his birthday on Saturday with his industry peers. From Dev to Birsa Dasgupta to Mimi Chakraborty and Sayani Gupta – a series of celebrities joined the party and wished the director all the best for his Puja release, Dawshom Awbotaar. The guests were seen letting their hair down at the birthday party.

Right at the beginning of the party, the trailer of the film was screened. On Sunday, the trailer was officially released on YouTube. 

Dev praised it on his social media. Earlier, Srijit and Anirban took a break from their shooting and joined the trailer launch of Byomkesh O Durgo Rohosyo. Now, Dev showered praise upon the Dawshom Awbotaar trailer. He commented, “The Puja is on. Looking very promising Best wishes to the entire Cast and Crew. Everyone is looking fab but Jishuda ur look <3 <3 <3.” Dev was present at Srijit's birthday on Saturday and had a photo together.

Prasenjit Chatterjee brings back the nostalgia of Probir Roychowdhury from Baishe Srabon in the film. Anirban Bhattacharya plays Bijoy Podder from Vinci Da and in this film assists Probir Roychowdhury. The kissing scene between Anirban and Jaya is a reflection of the romance of Parambrata Chatterjee and Raima Sen from Baishe Srabon. This is Srijit’s cop universe, combining elements from his two films, Baishe Sraban and Vinci Da. In the trailer, Jisshu Sengupta’s expression as the villain raised the audience’s expectations. 

In Puja, there will be a tough competition between Dev’s Bagha Jatin and Srijit’s Dawshom Awbotaar. Trailers of both films are released. Besides, there is Arindam Sil’s Jongole Mitin Mashi with Koel Mallick and Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s thriller, Raktobeej.
