DC is seeking to expand its film universe with its latest addition, the animated feature film ‘Injustice’. The full voice cast for the same has been announced.
The film is based on a prominent video game ‘Injustice: Gods Among Us’ and the ‘Gods Among Us: Year One’ comics by writer Tom Taylor.
The story of the film happens in an alternate reality. Deceived by Batman's arch-nemesis, the Joker, into killing Lois Lane, Superman is on a destruction-spree owing to his grief. He is convinced that the Earth needs to be under his control, for the good of people. Batman and other superheroes attempt to stop him before the deranged Man of Steel adds to the damage.
Some of the voice artists in the film include Justin Hartley (Superman), Anson Mount (Batman), Kevin Pollak (Joker, Jonathan Kent), Janet Varney (Wonder Woman), Brian T. Delaney (Green Lantern), Laura Bailey (Lois Lane, Rama Kushna), Anika Noni Rose (Catwoman), Derek Phillips (Nightwing, Aquaman).
The film is produced by Warner Bros. Animation, DC and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and is expected to be released this year.
