After three parts of the successful film franchise Dhilluku Dhuddu (Dhilluku Dhuddu 2 and DD Returns), actor and comedian Santhanam is back with the fourth part of the horror comedy franchise, titled Devil's Double Next Level/ DD Next Level. The film is going to hit theatres this week, and before you book your ticket, here is everything you need to know about the film.

DD Next Level Release date

DD Next Level is set to release in theatres on May 16, making it a perfect commercial entertainer for this summer. The film will compete at the box office with Soori’s family drama Maaman, which will also release on the same day.

The trailer of DD Next Level reveals that Santhanam is a film critic who is called for a movie screening at a dilapidated theatre. But as he gets transported into another world, Santhanam, along with Rajendran, encounters different characters, which take a dig at Tamil cinema in a spoof style. There is an encounter specialist Gautham Menon, who plays 'Raghavan, Investigating Officer' (a Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu reference), as Santhanam also teases Redin Kingsley with Jailer name drop. In fact, we also see Gautham Menon dancing to Uyirin Uyire from his film Kaakha Kaakha, by the beach.

The film is about a film critic who finds himself pulled into a world of films that he had ridiculed all his life. With horror and comedy filled in this film, it is about how the ghost of a failed filmmaker comes haunting the critic, with the latter trying to escape using his wit and intelligence.
