DD Next Level OTT release date out: Santhanam plays a film critic ensnared in a ghostly adventure filled with horror and comedy elements

DD Next Level, the recently released Tamil horror comedy film starring actor-comedian Santhanam in the lead role, is all set to make its OTT debut. While we had earlier reported that ZEE5 has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights, the platform announced that DD Next Level will premiere on June 13.

Actor and comedian Santhanam, who was seen in films like Vadakkupatti Ramasamy and Gulu Gulu in the lead role, once again played the protagonist in the 2025 Tamil horror comedy film DD Next Level. The film serves as the fourth part in the horror comedy film franchise, which also starred Santhanam.

DD Next Level released in theatres on May 16, and following its theatrical run, will soon stream on ZEE5. You can stream the film with your OTTplay Premium subscription from June 13 onwards. It will be available in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada as well.
The horror comedy film shows Santhanam playing the role of a film critic who posts reviews online on YouTube. When he gets called for a movie screening at a dilapidated theatre, he gets to know that a ghost is orchestrating it and gets transported into another world. Now, the protagonist has to not only save his family members who are now characters within the film, but also escape from the story’s serial killer before the end credits roll.

The cast of DD Next Level includes Santhanam, Geethika, Selvaraghavan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Nizhalgal Ravi, Kasthuri, Redin Kingsley, Yashika Anand, Motta Rajendran, and Maran. The film is directed by S Prem Anand and presented by Arya under the banner The Show People. Niharika Entertainment has produced the film. The technical crew includes cinematography by Dipak Kumar Padhy and ofRO scoring the music. Barath Vikraman is the editor.
