While De De Pyaar De 2 passed the CBFC certificate with zero cuts, Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Rakul Preet Singh starrer De De Pyaar De (2019) went through several changes. The CBFC, back then, removed the visuals of Rakul Preet Singh holding a bottle of liquor and replaced them with images of the actress holding flowers in her hands. In addition, two dialogues, which had double meanings, were also asked to be changed.

De De Pyaar De 2 is a romantic comedy sequel where Ashish (Ajay Devgn) tries to get the approval of his younger girlfriend Ayesha's (Rakul Preet Singh) parents, who are closer to his own age.
