De De Pyaar De 2 continues the story of middle-aged NRI investor Ashish Mehra (Ajay Devgn) and his much younger girlfriend Ayesha (Rakul Preet Singh). The story focuses on his chaotic meeting with her "progressive" parents (R. Madhavan, Gautami Kapoor) to seek approval.
This leads to a humorous battle of wits with Ayesha's father, who tries to set her up with her age-appropriate childhood friend Adi (Meezaan Jafri).
