Story:

Abhimanyu comes to Asmita’s home to surprise her. How will she deal with that?

Review:

Dear Ishq commences with Niyati Fatnani’s Asmita Roy getting to know that Sehban Azim’s Abhimanyu Razdan has bonded with her family. Beena Banerjee and Kaveri Ghosh as Asmita’s grandmother and mother are cute.

Sehban has a different side to his role, Abhimanyu, this time. His cute and sarcastic side both are good. Niyati as Asmita, on the other hand, is only fair.

The lame jokes in the serial are beyond ancient. One starts to wonder how can anybody laugh at that.

Soon, the creep factor kicks in. With that, the fun comes in a minor portion.

Buneet Kapoor’s Shauvik is back but in a mysterious role. He is seen with Tanya Sharma’s Shalini. They both are in a vicious circle – of pretending to be good only to look mysterious.

Abhimanyu and Asmita’s story is once again, the best part of the episode. Their romance works, especially when not in close-ups.

The makers try to make scenes funny but with Niyati and the music. Of course, it’s not a good combo.

Kishwer Merchant as Maya is seen in a brief but impactful role. Puneet Tejwani’s Peter appears soon after and the music only helps build his character.

The makers eventually try to make the show funny but barely succeed in doing so. The episode is not even remotely up to the standards.

Verdict:

Dear Ishq episode 46 is passable. There’s nothing that is really interesting. Neither is there something that makes you wonder what did you just see.
