Story:

Abhimanyu and Asmita leave from their date, unaware about what awaits them.

Review:

Dear Ishq begins where the last episode ended. Niyati Fatnani’s Asmita Roy and Sehban Azim’s Abhimanyu Razdan behaving like kids really adds to the episode already. Of course, there’s the cliched romantic moment between them.

Sehban is shown in a great light once again while Niyati is just okay. The intimate scene is shot aesthetically but it’s still not that beautiful as expected.

The makers make things worse by hinting that Buneet Kapoor as Shauvik is a voyeur observing them from afar. The mystery keeps on continuing but as always, the music is nothing great. This is till the mystery is slightly unfolded. Then, things get pretty interesting.

The dialogue, “Tum ek writer ho, koi action hero nahi,” works pretty well. That is till the makers bring glimpses of Mumbai again.

Sandeep Soni as Nannu is almost non-existent in this episode. Roma Bali and Sanjeev Seth as Abhimanyu’s parents are very much in their character.

Buneet is okay in his role but the music adds to the mystery about him. Soon, Kunal Verma’s Rizwan Khan and his boyfriend Anirban, played by Vikas Grover, enter the scene. They add to the mystery only slightly.

Verdict:

The makers have finally found the right balance between mystery and romance. They manage to make the scenes work, well almost.
