Story:

Asmita has taken a life-changing decision. With that, you see both Abhimanyu and Asmita's past and present.

Review:

"Thank God I haven't read your book or I would feel like I wasted my time," Niyati Fatnani's Asmita Roy says in episode 6 of Dear Ishq. Honestly, that's exactly how we feel watching this show, which is overdramatic, dragged and toxic.

The drama commences with Asmita distraught after how her life, especially professional life, has turned out. The makers take no time in inviting you to the overdramatics. With the scene, there's a loud scream touted as music. Finally, you feel at home; a home built on thorns.

Sehban Azim's Abhimanyu Razdan is a Devdas for no reason. Again, there's sad music accompanying the scene. Can somebody explain what is happening and why? Actually, we know why. The cliche had to make a comeback, afterall.

Kishwer Merchant's Maya barely has anything to offer initially. She does have a scene that is worth it though.

Honestly, it's upsetting to see how the 'so-called modern woman' tolerates abuse which is so casual on this show. She indulges, even when she owes nobody anything. The monologue has nil effect for the same reason.

While the makers force the scene down your throat, comes another surprise. The camera pans and the music is played on loop, thrice. Honestly, if you've watched the show so far, how?

Both Asmita and Abhimanyu go through their lowest phase. There's nothing appealing in that either.

The story ends on a part-cliffhanger. You want to know what will happen next but don't care about it either.

Verdict:

This episode is important only because it takes the story forward. There's literally nothing else it offers you apart from the usual platter of garb.
