Dear Ishq episode 60 review: Sehban Azim-Niyati Fatnani’s show finally gives ishq the real definition

Story:

Abhimanyu is accused for Meera’s murder. Can he prove his innocence?

Review:

Dear Ishq commences with Kishwer Merchant’s Maya and Puneet Tejwani’s Peter. This time, he performs slightly better than her. The scene is good enough too.

The makers are back with glimpses of Mumbai before a scene change. There’s an almost-party scene and that works well too. Niyati Fatnani’s Asmita makes her entry with the scene.

Sehban Azim’s Abhimanyu Razdan, on the other hand, is seen in an intense scene. The camera angles most definitely don’t work. The close-up really doesn’t help.

Buneet Kapoor is here as Asmita’s lover, Shauvik. Of course, his real intent is clear now.

Sehban and his close-up works to an extent only during his dialogue while in jail. The real definition of Dear Ishq is finally out with the scene. It is best described through Abhimanyu changing the title of his book.

Just as you think things will get better, the makers do it again. Abhimanyu Razdan’s nameplate enters the frame once again.

With that, the definition of Dear Ishq changes. How the scene is treated, barely works. Sehban, however, definitely helps with his acting. The makers hint at a sequel and of course, it is bound to be Abhimanyu vs the world.

Verdict:

Dear Ishq comes to a bizarre end. It gives the title a new definition. While the execution still isn’t even close to good, the actors do their part well. With this, Dear Ishq season 1 comes to an end.
