Why Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd decide to do Death of a Unicorn

Back in March in an exclusive interview with Collider, the Wednesday actress stated that she's quite fascinated with the wittiness of writer Alex Scharfman, who made directorial debut with this movie. Jenna shared that she feels excited to work with first-directors and also the theme of a unicorn caught her attention and she instantly decided to do the movie.

Meanwhile, the Ant-Man actor also gave a big shoutout to Alex Scharfman and shared that he thinks Alex can write really despicable characters but in a funny way. Paul Rudd remembered that Scharfman's had written a script many years ago that he loved but the movie never got made. So, when he got the script of Death of a Unicorn, written by him, he instantly said yes to it.
