Debchandrima Singha Roy to play a lead in a Hindi serial on Colors TV

Debchandrima Singha Roy is all set to play the protagonist in a Hindi serial. In the new supernatural mega serial, Suhagan Chudail, Debchandrima is one of the three protagonists. Recently, the serial’s promo came out. Her fans got excited seeing her new look. The shooting is on. The serial will go on air soon on Colors TV.

People will see Debchandrima as Diya. However, the actress did not want to reveal much about the character. How did she get the chance? From Mumbai, Debchandrima told Anandabazar Online, “I have been regularly auditioning in Mumbai for the last year. At last, I got selected.”

Debchandrima expressed her happiness and also said that her responsibility increased a lot. She said, “I had my birthday on March 29. On that day, I came to know that I was selected. That was my best birthday gift.”

Debchandrima’s last Bengali serial was Saheber Chithi. She said that she did not take part in any Bengali serial in a year for auditioning in Mumbai. The shooting has started. She said, “We shot in Rajasthan outdoors. Now we are shooting in Mumbai.”

Debchandrima did not agree with the statement that there is a huge difference between shooting in Bengal and Mumbai. “Since we are not used to speaking in Hindi, that can be a problem. There are many Urdu words in Hindi. Hence I am reading the script attentively,” said the actress. But she is not taking any special training for Hindi. “This is a new challenge for me. I am learning bit by bit every day,” she said. She also said that Bengali actors get special attention in Mumbai.

Two popular Hindi television artistes, Nia Sharma and Zayn Ibad Khan, are acting with her in the serial. What is her experience working with them? Debchandrima said, “They are helping me a lot. They are so friendly that they don’t make me feel that they are stars.”

This is Debchandrima’s first National outing. Many people wished her well after hearing the news. They shared the promo on social media. Debchandrima said. “Everyone is happy. They messaged me. I told everyone that I was trying in Mumbai. They are happy that at last I succeeded.”
