After a long back of six years, veteran actress Debasree Roy is all set to make a comeback. This time, the actress will mark a new beginning with her debut on OTT. She will be seen as Sucharita Lahiri – a chemistry teacher-cum-vlogger – in Hoichoi’s Chemistry Mashi which will drop in February. Created by Sourav Chakraborty, the show also features Ritwika Pal.
The show delves into the life of a woman, Suchitra, in her late 50s, who finds herself at a crossroads in life. Deciding to carve her own path, Sucharita revives her passion for chemistry through an engaging online channel, Chemistry Mashi, where she teaches Class XI and XII syllabus in a unique and relatable manner. Her popularity goes up to such a state that she starts teaching students for entrance examinations. However, her popularity takes a dark turn when one of her suggested question papers coincidentally matches an exam, triggering accusations of a question paper leak. As the series progresses, amidst all of this, her family equations also keep changing.

However, this time, the medium has changed – it's on OTT and will be at everyone’s fingertips instead of movie theatres. It’s a new adventure for me, leading to a mix of excitement and nervous anticipation. Working with the entire team of Hoichoi has been an amazing experience.”
