The story follows a married couple–Junsik and Soyeon–who is carrying a deep sadness in their hearts. Hoping to find some peace and a change in their life, they decided to take a trip to a faraway rural island. Their reaches to a small, isolated restaurant that had perhaps been recommended to them or that they had read about.

When they finally arrive on the remote island, the couple made their way to the restaurant. The owner of the restaurant, named Seongcheol (Don Lee), welcomes them with a smile and seems friendly. However, as Junsik and Soyeon spend more time there and interact with Seongcheol, they notice something unsettling and unexplainable about him.
